Frequently Asked Questions
How Much Weight Can It Hold?
Up To 7Kgs. When installed on a smooth surface, the hook can securely hold everyday household items like towels, robes, and kitchen tools.
Will It Damage My Wall?
No. It uses vacuum suction instead of glue or screws, so it leaves no marks.
Can I Reuse It Somewhere Else?
Yes. Simply unlock, remove, and reinstall wherever you need it.
Can I use it in the shower where it's constantly wet?
Absolutely. The Grade 304 stainless steel and industrial ABS construction is fully waterproof and rust-resistant, making it purpose-built for wet environments. In fact, a slightly damp smooth surface can actually improve the initial suction seal. Just avoid installing it directly under a high-pressure shower head where constant water hammering could work against the seal over time.
Does it work in the shower?
Absolutely. It’s waterproof and designed for humid environments.
My bathroom tiles are textured. Will it stick?
The vacuum seal works best on smooth, non-porous surfaces — think glazed tiles, glass, mirrors, marble, and sealed surfaces. If your tiles have a heavy texture or grout-like finish across the face, the seal won't be able to form properly and we'd recommend testing on a small area first. When in doubt, a quick wipe and a firm press will tell you within seconds whether the surface is compatible.
I bought suction hooks before and they always failed. What makes these different?
Most cheap suction hooks rely on basic cup suction that loses grip as soon as air slowly creeps back in. The DrillFree uses an active twist-lock vacuum seal — you're mechanically compressing the air out and locking it there, rather than just pressing a cup against a wall and hoping. Combined with the industrial-grade suction material, it's a fundamentally different mechanism. That's why it holds 7kg and why the grip doesn't degrade between uses.
Can I use these outdoors — like on a glass sliding door or outdoor tiles?
Yes, provided the surface is smooth and non-porous. Glass sliding doors, outdoor glazed tiles, and smooth rendered surfaces all work well. Just be mindful that extreme heat (like a tile that's been baking in direct Australian summer sun) can temporarily affect suction performance. For permanent outdoor use, we recommend mounting in a shaded area or bringing the hook inside during extreme heat days.
